25 weeks!

Right now I am at 25 weeks--just 15 to go!  Time is not going by fast enough. . . yet I cannot believe that I am 6 months along! Mattie boy and I signed up for Delivery classes (or whatever you call them)!  Doctor says everything seems to be going great.  So far, everything has been fairly easy during my pregnancy.  The only problem I have is that my sciatic nerve is flaring up, and it seems to get worse every day.  The doctor suggested that I buy a pregnancy support belt, like the one below. . .

I am not sure if I want to buy this yet, because I do not know if it will actually help with my sciatica.  So, if anyone has experienced this or knows someone who has. . . please share some advice with me!

Anyways, here are some pics of me at 23 weeks!

Sterling

It's a boy!
Sterling Scott Rambo
Yes. . . I know we are over-eager parents!
He was playing footsie with himself during the ultrasound!  It was so awesome to actually see the baby move!

Sterling is a contortionist.  He was pretty much bent in half!  His feet were up by his head

The funny thing is that I thought that it would be hard for them to see the gender, especially since I am only  18 1/2 weeks. . . but the first thing she said was. . . "there's the scrotum, and there's the other side of the scrotum."  She said scrotum like 3 times. . . and then I said, "oh, so we are having a boy."  Yes, I know, I am a dork.  I was in shock, okay!!

So, right after I decided that we had to go pick out some cute boy clothes!  I had a $20 gift certificate for Target (just because I registered there)!  We hit the clearance rack!

Obviously, we are very excited for Sterling to join our family!

Our Humble Abode

Here are some pics of our lovely apartment!  Besides the single paned windows and the nasty water, we love it! Let me rephrase that. . . it is the nicest apartment that I have ever stayed in!
Our little kitchen! But it is the right size for just the two of us!

This is the kitchen table and chairs! We got these from when we worked at ServiceMaster doing fire resoration--these were "unsalvageables," so we cleaned off all the soot, sanded them and painted it!  The top of the table was just fine, so luckily we didn't have to paint that.  Then we reupholstered the chair pads.  All of this took a LONG time. My amazing mother made that cute table runner!

Once again, my incredible mother made this!  She actually gave it to Matt the Christmas before we got married (we weren't even engaged yet), but she just knew that the day would come!

HUGE living room.  Which is the coolest thing about the apartment!

Sweet storage space!

vinyl sign thing on our living room wall

So far the only pic of me pregnant!

Brown, Red and gold bathroom!  The flooring has gold flakes in it--pretty retro, but it works!

Mattie Boy's latest art project!  His teacher was very impressed!  This green dude is from an old Japanese film.. . that is all I know!

Flutter

Yesterday, I felt the baby move for the first time!  I was sitting in the computer chair and I leaned forward to grab something and I felt a little flutter in my tummy!  That was very exciting!
Also, in 11 days I have my next ultrasound and they said they would be able to tell the gender!  That will be when I am 18 1/2 weeks!  We are so excited!  So, in 11 days we will be posting!

14 weeks Baby!

I am officially at 14 weeks!  It is so cool to be in the second trimester. . . I just feel like I am getting so much closer!  In 6 weeks they will be able to tell if it is a boy or girl!  Well, at 11 weeks I had an ultrasound and here are the results!  The baby weighed 2 ounces and the computer decided that I am due June 24th instead of July 1st.  I heard that the doctor usually just sticks with the initial due date.  As far as the rest of the calculations go. . . I have no idea what they mean!  I was so excited about how well the ultrasound turned out because I remember looking at the ones my mom would bring home of my siblings when I was young and I could never tell what was what!  My MIL says he has Mattie boy's nose, and others have decided the baby is a girl because it looks like she/he has a ponytail.  To me it looks like the baby is kickin' back on a nice summer day!  As my MIL would call it, "WOMB SERVICE."  She is always talking about how Mattie boy never moved when he was in the womb and didn't want to come out--that is when she came up with "womb service."  That always gives me a good laugh!

11 weeks!

Hmm. . . 11 weeks sounds like nothing, but that means I am one week away from 3 months!  We finally got our dshs and made an appointment.  Geez, that only took 2 months--talk about SLOW.  We have the first appointment on Tuesday and another scheduled for the 13th.  I am so excited to finally get to know how our baby is doing. I still have had it pretty easy. . . I only get nauseous when I get a headache or if I haven't eaten in the last 3-4 hours.  I also haven't had any drastic mood swings.  I was talking to Mattie Boy about that today and he said, "it's VERY NICE."  I agree!

Maui

Here are a few pics from our honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii!  We had so much fun!  They were in the middle of a drought, so it was not as pretty as I was expecting!  It was still pretty.  My hair did crazy things in that humidity!
Sugar Cane fields!

Vietnamese Cuisine!
We ate here twice because it was so good and the owners were so kind and generous!

At the aquarium

We stopped at a beach and parked and this was in front of us! Creepy.

The Baby Burger: 32 ounces
If you eat this in 10 minutes-- it's free!
Mattie Boy got really close. . .there goes $30

Monkey man

Not looking so good

Yes, this was in our Hotel. . . luckily he did not find it in the room.
Later that night I found a cockroach. . . disgusting.  I was going to smash it of course
but Mattie boy wanted to release it into the hallway. . . I had him take it further away from our room!
