Our Humble Abode

Here are some pics of our lovely apartment!  Besides the single paned windows and the nasty water, we love it! Let me rephrase that. . . it is the nicest apartment that I have ever stayed in!  

Our little kitchen! But it is the right size for just the two of us!

This is the kitchen table and chairs! We got these from when we worked at ServiceMaster doing fire resoration--these were "unsalvageables," so we cleaned off all the soot, sanded them and painted it!  The top of the table was just fine, so luckily we didn't have to paint that.  Then we reupholstered the chair pads.  All of this took a LONG time. My amazing mother made that cute table runner!  

Once again, my incredible mother made this!  She actually gave it to Matt the Christmas before we got married (we weren't even engaged yet), but she just knew that the day would come!

Brown, Red and gold bathroom!  The flooring has gold flakes in it--pretty retro, but it works!

Mattie Boy's latest art project!  His teacher was very impressed!  This green dude is from an old Japanese film.. . that is all I know!
