11 weeks!

Hmm. . . 11 weeks sounds like nothing, but that means I am one week away from 3 months!  We finally got our dshs and made an appointment.  Geez, that only took 2 months--talk about SLOW.  We have the first appointment on Tuesday and another scheduled for the 13th.  I am so excited to finally get to know how our baby is doing. I still have had it pretty easy. . . I only get nauseous when I get a headache or if I haven't eaten in the last 3-4 hours.  I also haven't had any drastic mood swings.  I was talking to Mattie Boy about that today and he said, "it's VERY NICE."  I agree!

Here are a few pics from our honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii!  We had so much fun!  They were in the middle of a drought, so it was not as pretty as I was expecting!  It was still pretty.  My hair did crazy things in that humidity!

but Mattie boy wanted to release it into the hallway. . . I had him take it further away from our room!

10 Weeks, Baby!

  Well, technically I am not 10 weeks until Friday. . . but I decided that there is no point in putting 9 weeks up when it will be over in 2 days!  Besides, that saves me time!
   No, I have not gone to the doctor's office yet.  We are still waiting on DSHS to send us our coupon/card thingy.  I am getting a little anxious, but I called them today and they said that it should be done next week.  Man, they are SLOW.  Today, I nearly fainted while I was giving my husband a haircut.  I felt nauseous (which isn't too uncommon, so I didn't think about it), then I started sweating and getting light-headed.  Luckily I was nearly done with the haircut, so I just sat down.  Don't worry, I survived!  Apparently this is very common in pregnancies--at least that is what it said in "What to expect when you're expecting."  I love that book!  It has calmed my nerves a few times!
  I have some exciting news (for us anyways)!  Tonight, my wonderful husband and I heard the baby's heartbeat!  It was so incredible!  We used the stethoscope on my blood pressure cuff.

The truth finally comes out. . . I am pregnant!

As of yesterday, my husband and I cannot hold it in any longer!  You know me. . . I can't keep a secret very long!  I am 8.5 weeks along!  I have not been able to see the doctor yet though :(  We are awaiting our medical coupon from DSHS because we are poor and have no insurance!

So far I have been lucky and have not been too sick!  The worst I get is a headache with a slight naseous feeling.  My mother-in-law says, "Well, I hope you get sick, because according to Dr. Oz, that means that you have all the right hormones buildin' up in your body."  I still find myself being just fine with the way I feel!  Oh, the worst so far is that I am SO LAZY.  I never have motivation to do anything, I always have to drag my feet.  Hopefully this will not end all 9 months!

Well, I finally got a blog. . . even though I told myself and others that I would never get one. Although, I did tell Chels that once I was married I would make one. Now I find myself wondering why I agreed to that proposition! It took me forever just to figure out how to write this post! Also, where is everyone getting the cute backgrounds???? I didn't see ANY. Wow, I am hopeless! :)
